Quinnipiac University offers the Master of Business Administration degree for students and professionals in businesses who want to develop critical management skills for middle and high level management. The program will get students acquainted with the theories, principles and strategies involved in the operation of a business. In addition, they will develop their creative and critical thinking capabilities to develop strategies and use innovation in order to solve problems and make strategic decisions.
Students will learn and develop their skills through a curriculum that involves classes that focus on specialized management education. Those classes include accounting for managers, information systems strategies, managerial economics, financial analysis and decision making, managing in a global economy, strategic business problem solving, business communications, business decision analysis, business ethics and legal environment, managing people and organizations, strategic management, and managing customers and markets.
Through completion of the program, students will have demonstrated the professionalism and skill necessary to earn the Master Business Administration degree. The qualifications demonstrate that the student has been able to apply the principles they have learned in the program into their eventual development as a functional effective professional in their field.
These qualifications include the ability to demonstrate an extensive and practical knowledge-base of theory, tools, skills, practices, and research related to business, to demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in business, to develop a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in a business environment, and to demonstrate ethical, legal, and responsible behavior and explain the broader role that business has in society and their own responsibilities as a member of the business community and citizens in society.
