Queens University of Charlotte

Program Details

Queens University of Charlotte offers an online nursing administration degree, the Post-Master's Certificate in Clinical Nurse Leader program.  This degree is designed for nurses who already have MSN degrees but want to further expand career opportunities.

The Clinical Nurse Leader program teaches students how to improve safety and quality of care.  Offered in an asynchronous course format with no campus residency required, students are able to continue their current nursing careers while gaining a competitive edge.  You can choose between part-time and full-time study as you learn from experienced faculty when and where it is convenient for you.

The curriculum prepares you to improve patient outcomes, safety, and quality of care in clinical settings.  Courses also cover leadership principles and practices, management of clinical outcomes, and management of the health care environment as you gain skills in professionalism and ethics.  In as little as three semesters you are prepared for such careers as:

  • Clinical case manager
  • Clinical nurse coordinator
  • Quality care coordinator
  • Clinical program coordinator
