Program Details

The Gifted, Creative, and Talented Studies Certificate Program (GCT) provides professional preparation to support and serve gifted, creative, and talented children and youth. The certificate does not constitute a teaching license, but posts to the student’s transcript as a program of study.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0/4.0

Special Accreditation

Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) now administers both NCATE and TEAC accreditation. Current accreditation status under NCATE and TEAC for education programs will continue through the accreditation term, during which they will be CAEP Eligible.
