Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice / Law Enforcement

Program Details

The online BS in Criminal Justice / Law Enforcement degree program from Post University provides students with an introduction to the core areas of law enforcement, including juvenile justice, police administration and management, and white collar crime. Coursework allows students opportunities to:

  • Examine the structure of the American criminal justice system and branches of government, their functions and how they interrelate with juvenile and adult proceedings
  • Analyze and apply the U.S. Constitution to contemporary issues in criminal justice
  • Assess theories relating to the causation of crime and criminal activity and identify the categories of crimes, penalties and their defenses
  • Demonstrate an understanding of ethical and professional responsibility
  • Develop and demonstrate effective communication on a college level to write and articulate criminal justice principles in the field

Requirements

  • Accredited high school diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the Department of Education

  • Cumulative 2.0 GPA or above
