Program Overview

Portland State University offers an Advanced Crime Analysis Certificate that is well suited for individuals who wish to enhance their knowledge on criminal justice and increase their career opportunities. Students completing this program will gain in-depth knowledge on data utilization, research performance, crime mapping reports, investigations, operations, crime prevention, and more. The Advanced Crime Analysis Certificate consists of 24 total credit hours. Students are required to finish Advanced Crime Analysis Core Classes in order to successfully complete the program. Core classes include Crime Control Strategies, Crime Analysis, Criminal Justice Research, Geographic Criminology, Applied Crime Mapping, and Crime Grime & Fear. The courses are expertly crafted to ensure that graduates will be knowledgeable, competent, and professional while working in the field.
