The online Graduate Certificate in Hospital and Health System Preparedness provides students with the knowledge and skills to protect the critical infrastructure of hospitals, medical facilities, and emergency management systems, allowing them to remain functional in the midst of natural disasters and intentional and unintentional events.  The curriculum emphasizes a systems-based and an all-hazards approach to preparedness, so graduates will be experienced in the development and revision of emergency operations plans and be proficient in exercises which test and evaluate those plans.  Graduates may find careers in facility management, health care administration, emergency management and services, health care quality and safety, and infection control and response.
