Program Details

Pennsylvania State University’s Associate of Science in Information Science & Technology program is designed to give students both theoretical and hands-on experience using contemporary technologies. Students gain thorough technical knowledge about the structure of database systems, web and multimedia systems, and the design of information systems, as well as direct experience through team projects, a required internship, and a capstone project.


60 credit hours are required to complete degree program studies. High school graduate or GED equivalent. Official transcripts.

North Carolina residents enrolled in online programs are not approved to participate in credit-bearing field experiences (internships, practicum, etc.) due to state regulations. Because the Associate in Science in IST requires an internship, North Carolina residents should consult with an adviser before applying. Alternate methods may be available.
