Program Details

The online Master of Applied Statistics program fulfills the current demand for trained statisticians as the world becomes more dependent on predictive data and numerical reasoning.  The program promotes skill sets in business, industry, government, health care, and educational and research organizations so graduates are prepared for various careers within science, technology, health care, education, or business.  The curriculum covers a variety of areas of expertise and learning, including:

  • Applicant must hold either (1) a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or (2) a tertiary (postsecondary) degree that is deemed comparable to a four-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution

  • The math prerequisite for this program is a standard three-course calculus sequence (for example, MATH 140, MATH 141, and MATH 230) and knowledge of matrix and linear algebra
