Penn Foster Career School is offering students the opportunity to pursue studies in Green Building Practices. This certificate program introduces students to green building systems, building structure, and controlling energy consumption. Designed to take students through courses in succession, this program teaches students environmentally friendly building practices.
Individuals begin the program by first completing the course, Introduction to Green Building Practices. After the student successfully completes one course, they may move on to the next. The next lesson consists of Structural Topics and Green Building Systems. Moving on to Advanced Green Building Topics, the students practice concepts of Insulating and Weatherizing building. Ending the Certificate program is a two-part course devoted to Controlling Energy Consumption in Buildings.
Prospective students interested in Green Building Practices can fill out an online application form, obtained through the Penn Foster Career School website. Following the processing of enrollment forms, the student receives a Student ID Number, allowing them to access the first course immediately. At the end of each lesson comes an exam, which students must pass to move to the next course.
