A Business Management Essentials Certificate can be obtained through Penn Foster’s online program. Students take courses such as Introduction to Business, Principles of Management, Math for Business and Finance, and Business and Technical Writing. Students study about business in a global environment, how to start and grown a business, finance, human resources, and marketing. Essential to business management, students learn how to lead, control, and organize in a business environment. Students pursuing the certificate in Business Management Essentials will be expected to practice math principles such as percentages, present worth, statistics, and equations and formulas.
Managers are often required to write proposals, memos, business letters, and emails; therefore, it is important for managers to practice proper grammar and correct grammar techniques. Students practice conducting research, writing business letters, and writing reports and descriptions.
