Pasadena Community College was founded in 1924 as Pasadena Junior College. In 1954, Pasadena Junior College merged with another junior college, John Muir College, to become Pasadena City College. Today Pasadena Community College is the third largest community college in the United States. The mission of Pasadena City College is "to provide a high quality, academically robust learning environment that encourages, supports and facilitates student learning and success." Pasadena City College is located in Pasadena, CA and is part of the California Community College System.
Students can complete a variety of programs leading to associate degrees or certificates. In addition to traditional, face to face classes, Pasadena City College offers online and distance learning classes to help accommodate the busy schedules of its students.
