Ozarks Technical Community College was founded in 1990 as the result of a vote by Springfield and thirteen surrounding public school districts. Ozarks Technical Community College operates with the mission "to provide accessible, high quality, and affordable learning opportunities that transform lives and strengthen the communities it serves." Ozarks Technical Community College serves students at three different campus locations, three off-campus technical centers and at the Gillioz Theater in downtown Springfield. The main campus is located on 40 acres in Springfield, Missouri, while the other two campuses are located in Ozark and Hollister.
Ozarks offers a mix of degrees, diplomas, and certificate programs. Through OTC Online, Ozarks Technical Community College offers a wide variety of online and hybrid courses designed for busy learners who cannot attend face-to-face (traditional) classes or who simply prefer to learn in an online environment, including many degrees and certificates that can be earned online and in hybrid formats.
