Owens Community College was founded in 1965 near Toledo, Ohio, as a technical institute and was chartered in 1967 as a technical college. The school later opened a campus in nearby Findlay, Ohio in 1983. In 1994 the school was chartered as a comprehensive state community college. Owens Community College operates with the mission of serving our students and our communities.
