Program Details
The online Bachelor of Science in Rangeland Science program prepares students to pursue, high-demand, outdoor career opportunities on both private and public lands in areas such as soil and water conservation, managing for ecosystem goods and services, wildlife habitat management, and sustainable land stewardship. The curriculum covers the study and sustainable management of landscapes across a variety of biomes using an interdisciplinary, holistic approach while integrating the ecological, socioeconomic, and political aspects related to managing rangeland ecosystems. Students will learn to manage some of the most critical issues facing our global society, including invasive species, habitat fragmentation, desertification, water availability, climate change, mineral extraction, over-grazing, and urbanization.
