Program Details

Oregon State University offers a couple of options for the psychology degree online, the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Psychology.  These degree programs are for individuals who want an understanding of why and how humans behave, think, or feel certain ways.  The curriculum is science-based and teaches research methods, problem solving, quantitative analysis, and statistics.  Students learn about the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data as critical components of coursework.  Courses also provide knowledge and skills in communication, scientific methodology, critical thinking, creative thinking, and problem-solving.  Students study both the scientific and humanistic perspectives of psychology, gaining an appreciation for human diversity and the value of the empirical approach to identifying, understanding, and solving complex problems.
