Program Details

The Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration & Policy, an online public administration degree, helps professionals take their careers to the next level, applying their experience and education to effect change in the public sphere.  Learn to make collaborative decisions and about problem solving while gaining a solid understanding in the theory and issues of traditional public administration and public policy.  The curriculum utilizes a multi-sector approach, focusing on challenges that arise where governments, nonprofits, businesses, community groups, and individuals intersect.  As you prepare to create and disseminate knowledge to advance public service, you will develop skills that allow you to:

  • Conduct policy analyses
  • Design and conduct research studies in public administration
  • Make informed policy and administrative decisions
  • Assess policy and implementation issues
  • Establish, manage, and evaluate multi-sector programs and relationships

Graduates are prepared for careers teaching courses in public administration and policy, conducting research, or in management positions in government or nonprofits.
