Program Details

The online Master of Science in Dental Hygiene program prepares students to be leaders in the fields of dentistry and healthcare.  Within the field of dental hygiene, students can choose to specialize in fields such as education, administration/management, research, marketing, and community health.  Graduates find careers in the clinical setting and in fields such as global health, public and community health, research, marketing, and administration and management.

Requirements

  • Scores from the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination
  • Recommendation from previous dental hygiene clinical supervisor and dental hygiene program director
  • Two letters of recommendation from academic sources
  • Written statement of personal goals and objectives related to the anticipated degree
  • GRE or Millers Analogy scores (only if you are interested in competing for a University Fellowship)
  • Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene or a related field and, in the latter case, have completed an accredited certificate or associate degree program in dental hygiene
  • Undergraduate overall GPA of at least 2.8 and an average in the dental hygiene major of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Official transcripts of all college work
