The Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Old Dominion University is an online human services degree program.  This program prepares students for positions in a variety of community service agencies and to act as substance abuse counselors.  The curriculum teaches the roles and functions of human services professionals along with characteristics of human growth and development.  You will learn the theories and skills related to human services and the basic skills related to program evaluation, grant writing, and fundraising.  This degree can also lead to certification as a substance abuse counselor.  Graduates will understand the ethical, legal, and multicultural issues related to human services and be prepared to act as a human services professional.
