Ohio Christian University offers a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. This higher learning program is tailored to give adult professionals further education and preparation for careers in leadership within businesses. The program provides the student with all the skills they need to efficiently lead businesses in a challenging changing community. Graduates of this degree will be skilled in the important disciplines of effective leadership, well-versed in the Christian vision of transforming leadership in the workplace, and prepared to bring change within organizations in the growing global work environment. They will be able to integrate Christian principles in everyday practices, primarily decision making and critical thinking, paving the way for successful leadership.
The BA in Business with a concentration in Organizational Leadership requires 45 semester credit hours and 16 required courses. This is part of the 124 credit hours that OCU requires its Adult Bachelor Program students to complete for graduation. Included in these required courses are Christian Excellence, Concepts of Leadership, Leading Change, Global Leadership, Leadership Communication, and Theology. Hands on classes give students a firm handle on how combine Christian service, business management, and organizational leadership. Ohio Christian University also requires students of the program to have a 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA to graduate from the program.
For enrollment in the BA in Business with a concentration in Organizational Leadership, students must have completed at least 50 semester credit hours from an accredited institution of higher learning with an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher. Credit hours may also be earned through OCU’s Prior Learning Assessment program which grants credit hours for work experiences, self-study, seminars, training programs, workshops or non-credit classes. OCU evaluates and grants up to 24 credit hours for the level of the student’s learning from these sources. Completion of an Associate's degree in Business Management or Leadership would be beneficial to future students of the Bachelor Program.
