Ocean County College offers an online degree in Public Service (A.S.) which includes several different areas of public service for the student to study depending upon their preference. This degree is ideal for transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree.
Ocean County College offers a variety of engaging and professionally insightful online courses that can be taken as part of a complete degree program, or on an individual class-by-class basis. These comprehensive educational programs are designed for students of any age. Daily schedules make regular campus visits difficult for many busy individuals. Ocean County College has made available an e-learning environment which allows individuals to take charge of their schedule and participation through an integration of communication services in an easy-to-use software system. The online courses follow the same academic calendar as the on-campus classes.
Required coursework includes topics in public speaking, English, and psychology. Students complete general education work in mathematics, science, social science, and humanities. Public service electives give students the options to focus in areas such as counseling and public administration.
