Program Details

The online MEd in Special Education with a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorder focuses on the broader concepts of exceptionality – learning, instruction, and development – as well as in-depth preparation in the area of autism spectrum disorders. Courses explore topics such as:

  • Legal Issues in Special Education
  • Quality of Life 
  • Educational Procedures for Students with ASD
  • Behavioral & Social Issues in Students with ASD

Requirements

  • Must hold a baccalaureate degree from regionally accredited institutions
  • A GPA of at least 3.00 
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Must hold or be eligible for a valid Michigan elementary or secondary teaching certificate
