Program Details

The online Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies from Oakland City University is designed for those preparing to serve Christ.  This program equips those with a call to ministry with biblical knowledge and practical skills that are used to enter the ministry full-time.  The curriculum shapes modern Christian leaders through a variety of courses that include biblical and historical/theological studies and practical ministry topics.  Students will learn to analyze diverse viewpoints in light of intellectual traditions of the Christian church, model appropriate perspectives and practices for engagement in society and the church, and conduct essential ministry practices.  You will also learn to understand and value the mission and ministry of local congregations, embody the moral and spiritual integrity of the pastor, and perform the basic duties of a leader in a local congregation.
