Program Details

The online MS in Disaster & Emergency Management degree program from Nova Southeastern University prepares students to be leaders in the field through the study of emergency management theory and all-hazards prevention, response, mitigation, and recovery. Additionally, students may choose one of the following tracks to suit their personal interests and professional goals:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, master's, doctoral, or terminal professional degree from a regionally accredited college or university or a college or university accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) Accrediting Commission
  • Official transcripts of all undergraduate, graduate, and professional education
  • Cumulative overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
  • Two letters of recommendation from a supervisor, co-worker, or instructor who is familiar with the applicant's character, scholastic aptitude, and work ethic
  • Written statement submitted with the application
