Program Details

The online Doctor of Philosophy in Health Science post-professional doctoral program is designed for clinical health professionals, public health practitioners, and senior-level healthcare administrators who are able to contribute clearly defined and proficient working knowledge of clinical and non-clinical health practices.  The curriculum focuses on providing students with the skills to conduct research in complex environments while focusing on the framework of health policy, giving them the necessary abilities to increase their responsibilities and function both independently and dependently in the clinical and non-clinical research environment.  The program challenges students to examine the current state of medical care while applying sophisticated knowledge of research design, biostatistics, and epidemiology to the core discipline.

Requirements

  • Requires two one-week on-campus institutes
  • Master's degree or a professional doctorate (AuD, DPT, OTD) from a regionally accredited college or university
  • A cumulative master's degree GPA at or above a 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • GRE test scores
  • Prior health care experience required and strongly considered in admissions
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Writing sample
  • Interview
  • Resume or CV
  • Official transcripts from all graduate study
  • Evidence of computer and/or self study skills
