Program Details

The online Master of Education with an endorsement in Reading program prepares educators to help students improve literacy.  The curriculum provides additional skills and knowledge in reading theories and literacy instruction to help students improve in this field.  

Courses include:

  • Multisensory Approaches to Language Development
  • Literacy Theories and Research Applications
  • Theoretical Model Approach to Literacy
  • Principles of Literacy Instruction 
  • Diagnosis and Correction of Reading Problems


  • Must come to campus at some point during their graduate study
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended
  • Current teaching license/s, if applicable
  • Two professional references
  • Personal statement
  • Current criminal background check
