Program Details

The online Master of Education with licensure for Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialist in grades K-12 prepares educators to be master teachers who are leaders with advanced knowledge and skills in teaching students with mild or moderate disabilities.  The program provides the coursework necessary to help these students gain the most out of their educations and prepares teachers to help them reach this goal.

Courses include:

  • Foundations in Mild Moderate Disabilities
  • Multisensory Approaches to Language Development
  • Literacy Theories and Research Applications
  • Assessment in Special Education
  • Instructional Strategies for Mild/Moderate Needs


  • Must come to campus at some point during their graduate study
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended
  • Current teaching license/s, if applicable
  • Two professional references
  • Personal statement
  • Current criminal background check
