Program Details

The online Master of Arts in National Security & Intelligence Studies program is designed to prepare students for success in security environments, including dealing with homeland security and natural and man-made disasters.  The curriculum provides the framework and practical skills to prepare students to develop strategies, plans, and programs for incidents across the spectrum, including terrorism, mass-casualty events, and pandemic outbreaks.  You will learn to evaluate current policies and strategies, demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning skills, provide leadership and support, analyze practices, apply decision-making tools, understand the legal and ethical dimensions of personal and professional judgements, improve communication skills, and more.


  • Requires three on-campus weekend residencies
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher or relevant qualifications, including work experience
  • Essay or academic paper
