Program Details

Earn a Master of Arts degree in Military History online with Norwich University.  This program is designed to instill historical insight in different areas of conflict through advanced research and writing.  Students will hone skills in presentation and analysis through studies of war in America, Asia, Africa, China, and Latin America.  Courses include but are not limited to the following studies:

  • Military Thought and Theory
  • Global Military History
  • Amphibious Warfare

Though this program is offered online, there is a one week residency requirement on-campus.   Students may choose to take on an optional master’s thesis demonstrating advanced research skills to pursue studies at the doctoral level.  Graduates may find career paths in state and local government, nonprofit organizations, consulting firms, research organizations, and academic institutions.  Earn an advanced degree in this specialized subject through Norwich University online.

Requirements

The online Master of Arts in Military History program ends in a residency at the historic Norwich University campus in Vermont.
