Program Details

Norwich University offers a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Studies to the online student.  This program is designed for current and former military personnel in all uniformed branches of the military to expand educational and military knowledge.  Students will learn a variety of skills in tactical, strategic, proactive planning through studies including but not limited to:     

  • Strategy and Policy
  • Economics and the International System
  • Military Thought and Theory

Coursework mirrors professional life with information applicable to the evolving mission of the United States military.  Students will explore the complicated relationships between politics and national power.  This program culminates into a capstone project wherein individuals present clear comprehension of the principles and objectives of strategic studies.  Graduates may go on to work for the U.S. military, State Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, defense contractors, private security firms, and more.
