Automotive Marketing and Management
Northwood University offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Automotive Marketing and Management for students who are interested in studying for careers in managerial positions in careers related to the sales of cars and the operation and management of car dealership. Students will learn about the fundamentals of dealership management with courses in marketing, management, and topics relating to the sale of automotive parts and services
Students will learn the responsibilities of managers and administrators through a curriculum which will develop their understanding of administration and managerial responsibilities and develop their leadership abilities. Those classes include Principles of Management, Principles of Microeconomics, and Dealership Legal Issues and Finance and Insurance.
Upon completion of the program, students should have demonstrated the necessary educational and professional qualifications roles in management relating to dealership auto sales. These qualifications include but are not limited to the ability to have an extensive and practical knowledge-base of theory, tools, skills, practices, and research related to business and be able to apply these to the problems and opportunities that are encountered in the auto dealership environment. Students should also demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in business, as well as a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in the auto dealership environment. Finally, student should demonstrate ethical, legal, and responsible behavior and explain the broader role that business has in society and their own responsibilities as a member of the business community.

Northwood University is a private, not-for-profit, four-year institution of higher education, whose main campus is located in Midland, Michigan. In 1959, Arthur E. Turner and R. Gary Stauffer founded Northwood University, then known as Northwood Institute. The school first opened with 100 students in a 19th century mansion in Alma, Michigan. Turner and Stauffer implemented what they called “The Northwood Idea” into their schooling; integrating the lessons of the American free-enterprise society into the classrooms that promoted higher learning.
