Program Details

The Nurse Administrator track of Northwestern State’s Master of Science in Nursing program provides educational opportunities for registered nurses to build on their bachelor’s nursing knowledge. Graduates of the online nursing administration degree program have the professional knowledge and skills needed to succeed in advanced nursing roles.

Online coursework and in-person practicum experiences prepare students to make significant contributions to the improvement of healthcare and the advancement of nursing practice. Students have the opportunity to choose from three concentrations within the Nurse Administrator degree track:

  • Adult Gerontology Nursing
  • Adult Gerontology Critical Care Nursing

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution and a current unencumbered, unrestricted RN license
  • Must have undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher; GPA of 2.75 or higher on last 60 credit hours; or GRE score of 284 or higher
