Northwestern State University of Louisiana offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration for students interested in earning their business degree online.
Students have the option of choosing one of four concentration areas. The concentrations include Economics, Marketing, Finance, and Management. To fulfill the concentration requirements, individuals must complete 24 hours of 3000 level or above in business elective courses. Also available as part of the Business Administration program, are pre-licensing courses. If students are interested in pursuing employment in real estate, insurance, or in financial institution, completing pre-licensing courses may be the ideal choice.
Credit hours required for completion of the BSBA total 120 hours. Students will need to complete courses in topic such as accounting, marketing, finance, management, economics, psychology, as well as electives. Some of the expected courses may include Business Entities, and Constitutional Law.
To succeed in online learning, prospective students must be able have proficient Internet skills, be self-motivated, and comprehend written instruction.

Northwestern State University was established in 1884 in the old Bullard Mansion atop a hill overlooking the bustling river port city of Natchitoches. The campus grew as the school expanded from a two-year degree for teachers at Louisiana State Normal School to the four-year education degree at Louisiana Normal College in 1921. In 1944, the school became Northwestern State College and Northwestern State University in 1970.
NSU awards associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in addition to professional certificates. Students requiring added flexibility may take advantage of the online campus at eNSU. Virtual coursework and distance education degree programs reflect that of on-campus counterparts. Degrees are offered completely online, though certain courses may require proctored exams or campus visits to take exams.
