Northwest State Community College is a two-year, public institution of higher learning, located in the city of Archbold, Ohio, and serving the counties of Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Paulding, and Williams. Northwest State Community College was founded in 1968 as the Four County Technical Institute. In 1972 the school changed names to Northwest Technical College. In 1994, the school officially became a community college and was given its current name. The mission of Northwest State Community College is “to serve by providing access to excellent and affordable education, training, and services that will improve the lives of individuals and strengthen communities.”
