The online Associate in Science degree program from Northwest-Shoals Community College is designed to prepare students for transfer to a four-year institution in pursuit of a higher degree in a wide variety of areas including, but not limited to, business administration, child development, computer information systems, environmental health and safety, medical technology, criminal justice, and dentistry. The curriculum establishes a foundation of general education courses required for most baccalaureate degrees, and students are assigned to an advisor on the basis of their intended major or field of interest.
For identity vertification, distance education students are required to take at least one proctored exam on campus.
