Master of Divinity / Youth, Children & Family Ministry
Northwest Nazarene University

Program Details

The online Master of Divinity with a concentration in Youth, Children, and Family degree offered by Northwest Nazarene University aims to equip its students with the ability to engage culturally, theologically, and pragmatically with youth, their families, and the contemporary social systems.  The curriculum of this program combines tools and concepts from a variety of subject matters so that a student can integrate these ideas and learn the best practices for not only engagement, but also for their own personal development and ministry lives.  Students will study the Wesleyan-Holiness Theology as it relates to Scripture, Christian tradition, reason, and experience in ministry practice and value its role in practice.  You learn about the integration of practice and philosophy of leadership used in ministry, gain a Biblical understanding of faith formation within the community, and gain the means of grace, or spiritual disciplines, that lead to emotional and spiritual health, personal Christian theological virtue, and responsible social engagement.

Students can choose either a Master of Arts or a Master of Divinity track.
