Program Details

The online Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology program combines students’ organizational and analytical skills with their interests in healthcare, allowing them to play vital roles in making our healthcare system work.  The curriculum teaches students to perform data collection and analysis needed by doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.  Courses teach skills in maintaining healthcare records, assigning code numbers to diagnoses for indexing health data and processing bills, answering legal and insurance company inquiries, and supervising human resources for effective and efficient health record processing.
