Program Details

Northland Community and Technical College offers an Associate in Arts in Social & Behavioral Sciences humanities degree for students interested in studying the social sciences.  This online humanities degree program forms the basis for education in which individuals will prepare for careers in fields such as sociology, psychology, political science, and anthropology.  Students will design individualized majors combining courses from any two or three social science areas they choose depending on their interests. Students will study topics such as: 

  • Anthropology 
  • Economics
  • History 
  • Political Science 
  • Psychology 
  • Sociology 

Upon completion of the humanities degree, students are prepared to transfer to a bachelor’s program, for entry-level careers in social care and social sciences, or to begin the higher education needed for advanced careers in social sciences.
