The online Associate in Science in Health Sciences Broad Field program provides a wide range of exposure to subjects relating to health services and meets the admissions requirements for a variety of topics in health studies, including nursing, social work, nutrition, health education, and exercise science. The curriculum emphasizes the development of health science studies and the understanding of anatomy and physiology, consisting of courses in anatomy and physiology; general, organic, and biochemistry; and psychology. Graduates should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills; identify the components of the healthcare delivery system and external environmental factors affecting the management of healthcare organizations; analyze laws, regulations, and health policy that impact the health services industry; solve problems and improve performance in healthcare organizations; and understand the roles, perspectives, and expectations of clinical practitioners.
