Program Details

Northern Kentucky University offers an online adult nurse practitioner program, the Post-Master's Certificate in Adult-Gero Nurse Practitioner degree.  This program allows nurses to advance in their careers while becoming the primary care provider for a range of patients.   You will learn to treat adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, covering a full range of healthcare services.  For example, courses prepare you to make referrals, treat chronic and acute illnesses, order tests, and prescribe medications.  The goal of this program is to prepare nurses who will design plans to improve lifelong outcomes for their patients by promoting healthy changes and managing chronic illnesses.

Graduates are prepared to take the Adult-Gero Primary Care certification examination.
