Northern Kentucky University offers the Post-Master's Certificate in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to Family Nurse Practitioner degree.  This online nurse practitioner degree is designed for those who wish to broaden their career focus by transitioning into all aspects of primary care for adolescents and adults, including geriatric patients.  Topics cover primary care, including women’s health, gynecology, men’s health, and hematological, immunological, and respiratory systems.  Emphasis is placed on health promotion, disease prevention, assessment, and the diagnosis and treatment of common health issues.  Graduates are prepared to become the primary care provider to patients of all ages.

Graduates are eligible to sit for the FNP certification exam.
