Program Details
The Master of Science in Industrial Management at Northern Illinois University prepares graduates for engineering and industrial management careers. The coursework covers graduate-level management training as an alternative to an MBA, for those interested in the more technical side of business management. Some of the lessons learned in this program include:
- Managing systems as well as people
- Using technology as an impactful resource
- Working on a global and local scale
- Improving communication skills with employees and civilians
The curriculum is designed in two phases, one to cover risk and project management and another phase to cover the technical skill sets of systems. That gives students a holistic graduate level understanding of what it takes to succeed in the field.
