Program Details

Northern Arizona University offers an online Graduate Certificate in Professional Writing program. The program builds upon baccalaureate education to provide further professional communication skills.  These credit hours can also be used to fulfill requirements for a Master’s in English degree at NAU or the Professional Writing emphasis in the Master of Administration degree.  With this writing program you will learn best practices in creating user-facing documents and increase your skills in audience awareness, document design, document project management, and editing. 

Students learn to create a variety of workplace documents, including:

  • Instruction manuals
