Program Details

The online Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Technology Management is a liberal arts degree from Northern Arizona University and is designed for students seeking advancement to management and supervisory positions within various computer and information technology related occupations.  This liberal arts degree is a bachelor completion program with students transferring credits from community colleges or other institutions into NAU and only the remaining 30 credits provide a basis for assessment of student learning objectives at NAU.  The curriculum compliments lower-level courses, adding value to the student’s technical experience with appropriate courses in the management of technology resources including courses on organizational, policy, and technology issues.  Coursework offers a strong perspective of the structure, function, policies, and practices of IT management while enhancing understanding of management, decision making, and communication skills.  Graduates understand the issues impacting the IT management field and the structure, function, policies, and practices involved in IT management, so they are prepared to advance in their careers or begin new careers in the field.
