Master of Education in Science Education

Program Details

The online Master of Education in Science Education program enables K-12 teachers to become highly qualified teachers of science by meeting the needs of teachers with bachelor’s degrees in secondary science education, a science discipline, mathematics, elementary education, early childhood education, or special education and teachers who hold alternative certification.  The program consists of courses in professional education and courses with a science content core.  Courses include:
  • Educational Research
  • Fundamentals of Curriculum Development I
  • Advanced Educational Psychology
  • Trends and Issues in Science Education
  • Inquiry in Science

Requirements

  • MAT or GRE required
  • Three sealed letters of recommendations from professional or academic sources
  • Other materials may be required
  • All college transcripts
  • A bachelor’s degree
