Program Details

The online Master of Education in Instructional Leadership program creates accomplished teachers who are reflective about their practice and critically analyze what constitutes effective teaching and valuable learning as they work to expand their instructional repertoires and master an expanding body of pedagogical knowledge.  Throughout the program, teachers are deeply aware of the ethical and societal dimensions of education and understand that they are part of a global village which embraces diversity, drawing on this knowledge to make principled judgements about their students and their instruction.  The curriculum also emphasizes research and its role in academic decisions and pedagogical practices, as well as guiding teachers to collaboratively engage students, parents, colleagues, and communities in educative pursuits which foster partnerships and life-long learning.
