The Gender Diversity specialization recognizes how crucial it is for today’s mental health providers and educators to possess knowledge and sensitivity to a myriad of issues, challenges, and changes to our current understanding of mental health, gender and healthy sexuality. As well, this specialization explores the important distinction between gender, sex, and sexuality, recognizing that while different constructs, there are many critical points of intersection and influence among them.
The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Psychology program is not a licensure program and does not prepare an individual to become a licensed psychology or counseling professional.
