Program Details

The online Associate in Applied Science in Criminal Justice program prepares students to transfer to a four-year institution to complete their criminal justice program or prepares them to begin careers in the field, particularly in law enforcement, the courts, and corrections.  The curriculum explores aspects of crime and the law and justice systems, helping students learn how to apply concepts to real-world situations.  You will study psychological and sociological theories of crime causation and the fundamentals of criminal law, criminal procedure, civil law, and the courts.  Graduates know how to decipher patterns of human behavior, understand their legal and ethical responsibilities, and know how data on crime and prevention is collected and reported.
