Program Details

The online Management Certificate program from North Hennepin Community College is designed for students who want to learn the essentials involved with managerial and supervisory positions. Courses, which may be applied toward the AS in Business Administration / Management or various AAS degrees, prepare students to:

  • Describe the major functional areas of American businesses & the global aspects & legal & ethical responsibility of businesses operating profitably in a changing world
  • Apply effective listening, written, verbal, persuasive & nonverbal communication appropriate to professional situations locally & globally
  • Identify & appreciate differences in personality, communication styles & diversity in general & demonstrate behavior that respects those differences 
  • Develop a managerial strategic plan that includes critical elements of planning, organizing, leading & controlling 

Requirements

  • Official high school transcript or GED certificate (if graduated in the past 5 years)
  • ACCUPLACER placement test (may be waived if the student has completed a college-level English composition or math course, or has recently taken the ACCUPLACER, ACT, MCA, or SAT and has qualifying test scores)
