Program Details

The online E-Commerce Essentials Certificate program from North Hennepin Community College is designed for students who want to learn essential computer and marketing skills and create a business on the internet. The curriculum prepares students to:

  • Apply technology, business & marketing skills to create a business on the internet or contribute to business internet efforts
  • Identify e-commerce opportunities
  • Build a web presence
  • Design a web site
  • Understand electronic payment systems & security, international, legal, ethical & tax issues

Requirements

  • Official high school transcript or GED certificate (if graduated in the past 5 years)
  • ACCUPLACER placement test (may be waived if the student has completed a college-level English composition or math course, or has recently taken the ACCUPLACER, ACT, MCA, or SAT and has qualifying test scores)
