Program Details

The online Business Principles Certificate program from North Hennepin Community College is designed for students who want an overview of the broad areas of business: finance, management, and marketing. Courses, which may be applied toward the AAS in Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship, or the AS in Business Administration / Management degree, prepare students to:

  • Describe the major functional areas of American businesses & the global aspects & legal & ethical responsibility of businesses operating profitably in a changing world
  • Develop a managerial strategic plan that includes critical elements of planning, organizing, leading & controlling
  • Illustrate the marketing concept through the completion of a comprehensive marketing plan

Requirements

  • Official high school transcript or GED certificate (if graduated in the past 5 years)
  • ACCUPLACER placement test (may be waived if the student has completed a college-level English composition or math course, or has recently taken the ACCUPLACER, ACT, MCA, or SAT and has qualifying test scores)
